Sheri is open minded and empathetically accepts people wherever they are in their life journey. Her training, life experience, natural sensitivity, and faith in the therapeutic process allow her clients to begin to realize positive growth. It is through the therapeutic relationship that you and Sheri will work together to help achieve your goals for positive living and personal growth.

Sheri counsels adults, adolescents, and children struggling with a variety of issues. She is an experienced therapist who trained at the University of North Texas, which has the world’s largest center for play therapy and which has often been ranked among the nation’s top-rated counseling programs. Sheri sought this education after personally witnessing the power of play therapy with her own daughter.  Sheri is passionate about her specialized training in SandTray, a therapeutic modality appropriate for all ages, from Karen R. Burke through the Texas SandTray Association.

Sheri received a B.S. in Marketing with a minor in Psychology from Southwestern Oklahoma State University in 1985. She went on to earn her M.Ed. in Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2008.

Originally from Oklahoma, Sheri has lived in Texas 30 years and considers it home. Married with one daughter, six step-children, two sons-in-law, four daughters-in-law, and thirteen step-grandchildren, Sheri stays pretty busy! When there is free time she enjoys reading, walking, working in the yard, updating her new “old” home and DIY projects.  If you feel the time is right, Sheri invites you to call her today.
